The story of Noorena shams-ul-qamar might seem as typical as every Pakistan's but it does not make her none less than others. Her practical life started when her school was blown on a night of 2008. She and her school mates did not give up and they continued to struggle as harder as they could to bring glory to their state DIR LOWER and tell the world that they want peace.
She started taking part in different sports and represented Dir as a badminton player and an athlete from the very own platform and here the actual story of being a champion begun.
During the operation 2009 of army forces in order to drive taliban out, many families migrated from the area. She and her family stood firm and proved hat no matter what ever happens they are not going to leave their homeland, Among the only few students and her siblings , she attended school which is an achievement in itself as when no one attended school and they did. Ah do not think it was due to support of her father.
Unfortunately the fate had snatched her father when she was 11 years old,On 9 july 2009 once again her house was damaged as a result of attack on army cantt she lived in. This was not either enough for she and her sisters from struggling. She was sent to Peshawar to continue her studies. She proved to be a brilliant student till class 8th.
Due to being highly active in sports her grades suffered alot and she was warned by her mother that she won't be able to continue her sports. She did not give up.She used to practice with street kids and staff of her hostel and this skill pulled out one of talented cricketer of her. She developed interest in squash and joined one of squash academy in her city. Travelling from one area of her city to the other one became a challenge.
She used to be stared by many eyes the only act she could do in return was to lower her gaze and stand freeze at her aim.The biggest step of her life was due to unsupportive atmosphere she cut her hair and turned into a boy so no one could recognize her.
By walking miles in a day made her one of best athlete of peshawar chapter. She was the first cycling champion of KPK, as this boyish get up helped her alot. She was known for her polite behavior in her school and loved by teachers but they always had a complaint about less interest in studies. Yet over here she proved not only to be good at studies but a capable one by taking distinction in urdu B in cambridge international examination oct/nov 2013 ( candidate number 0045 pk 305 ).
In addition she is a brilliant artist and was declared to be youngest artist of the year in 2012 in a competition held in NUST university. She has worked as junior assistant (artist ) in different newspapers.
She is determined and know how to raise voice of youth. She want to show the whole world what a PAKISTANI is what they can do ? today she is part of U-19 Pakistan cricket team , U-19 squash champion , youngest member of WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CENTER and working under supervision of designer nabeela farman , she is youngest founder member of ASIA'S 1ST CHAMBER OF CRAFTS PERSONS' .
Her current age is 17 and is a proud Pakistani.
