Lets’ meet Malala of Umerkot:

 A daughter of poor peasant and Kolhi by case, she was healthy like other children but in her child age she was pricked an injection by a quack doctor in her village which made her handicapped and her left leg stopped working. She did not bow before the situation and continued her study. She faced many hardships because there was no school in her village "Meena Je Dhani" some 27 kilometers from Umerkot but she used to attend school in other villages and later city Samaro travelling in passenger buses or rickshaws and completed her Intermediate and later graduation from college side.

When she passed her graduation she approached elected representatives of the area because her father had dreamed to make her teacher but all the doors were closed for her. According to her, later she convened a meeting of villagers where more than 400 families of Kolhi community were residing. She motivated the villagers to send their children to her for education, six months back. Day by day enrollment went increasing and this time 229 students were enrolled with her, whom she was teaching without any salary and support.
